The Repeating Circle

ethompson Resonance and reality 5 1

The Repeating Circle by guest writer Peony

The ‘Big All’.

Every day I thank the ‘Big All’. I internally connect with nature then I look at the world and connect externally.
Every day I observe the world. What I see right now is this immense need for love. It is shouted by everyone, it flows from children’s eyes.

The encounter of the river and sea

In South America the river goes towards the sea then it is the sea which goes up towards the river and mixes its salt water with the fresh water. In a way, there is an exchange. The sea comes crying in the earth and the river returns to the sea what it took from her, but after being diluted, cleaned, perhaps loved.

Our children cry and nature also cries. They mourn the lack of love.

Children are the eyes, the soul, the future of this world.
Yet adults, who were children too, instead of protecting them, repeat the pain for lack of love.
The children are abused, they have no relationship with their parents who are supposed to be their guides, their protectors, they lack affection, they are abandoned, put in schools that teach them unnecessary things in an authoritarian and traumatic environment. The school in final is full of troubled kids. After you wonder why they do not want to go to school ?

Animals are like our children, sometimes abandoned at birth, traumatized too.
Every year I find at least a dozen abandoned animals, sometimes much more. Often they are little ones who have not even been weaned, which means they can not be independent. I do my best to raise them, teach them what they need to live. Cut off from their family relationships, from the love of parents, they often grow up with problems.
Then the trauma is likely to be repeated, by mimicry. Their children will be unloved in turn, and they will not love their children in return…

But the source problem is not so much animals, but humans! We are the source of the problem.  The ones who separate babies from their mothers. Childhood trauma is likely to be repeated…. by mimicry. Unloved children will likely not love their children in return…

In fact humans raise their children in the same way that they treat their animals: parked by hundreds in closed places, fed, fattened, raised but unloved ! Humans have done the same with the earth, they ‘conquered’ her or appropriated her, then mistreated her and finally abandoned her.

The repeating circle!

“To designate a space is akin to owning it; to get the measure of it so that it can be possessed.”

Until when ?

We are not breeding animals!
When humans will stop breeding like farm animals, then perhaps they will understand that a child is a precious gift to pay attention to, not a fairy animal that is exposed (-Look I have a child!) and that we send to the slaughterhouse (school) to be trained by Mr Ego (teacher) who thinks he knows everything because he has learned it in a book and who is not able to love his students because he is only there to “educate” them.

Education is the role of parents, education is helping, and helping is loving.

Thanks for that. I have been raising children for 40 years. It has been the most loving and revolutionary act I can do. I look around and can see that the bad habits of adults were formulated in childhood. My youngest three (19, 14 and 14) have experienced loving, non-coercive unschooling.

It is indeed wonderful and a loving learning experience for both parents and kids isn’t it. My kids are educated at home too. Where I live people have lots of kids and do not take care of them, it is already great if they only have food once a day, and after having been ‘trained’ at school they roam in the streets…then people complain about kids while they are responsible.
My experience as the oldest kid from a big family helped me to want and do better or different; and than the breeding part; and as a young mother I felt the need for a change. Kids first ! I had the pleasure to take care of many children too. What you give you receive ♥

Raising children was fun. I liked the 5-12 year stage the best.
