Mitakuyepi, my friends in the Sundance way of life. It has been a while since I wrote a post, and this short understanding is for those who sun danced or sungazed over the eclipse on August 12th 2026. .
For sense bound souls, this event is insignificant but for those who are spiritually minded and electromagnetically aware, this ‘happening’ carries with it a great spiritual lesson and understanding.
On this day, the sun was darkened, blotted out in its own throne room, negated in its own domain in the sun’s own sign of Leo.
The cosmos turned the King’s light off and extinguished it just long enough to show what else was shining in the darkness.
The stars, pinpoints of energy, and the King’s own crown, the flaming corona that can only be seen when the light of the sun is eclipsed.
This is esoterically important. So, what does this mean in a spiritual sense?
The two lights
There are two lights in play here. The attached sun light, and the true spiritual light that was real before anyone saw it. This is the light that shines in the darkness.
The attached light is all about us. It is our visibility, our performance, our follower account, how many likes we get on social media, the name on our door, the applause etc. All the attention that is wired through our visibility, being seen or listened to, our social standing, our ego which only thrives while others are watching…paying attention to us.
This is the attached light our ego needs to justify its existence. We think that if our light isn’t visible, isn’t witnessed, it doesn’t count and therefore, we strive and scramble to maintain remaining in the spotlight and shining in the face of others…..being visible. We need recognition of the attached light, we carry.
We all struggle with this don’t we? We want to be seen and heard….
Standing in the darkness
Instead of standing in the dark(eclipse) and asking ourselves what still glows when the attached light is eclipsed, our ego fights back. We struggle to perform harder, to post louder, to stay visible. We need the economy of being visible, with our faces and our words to justify the existence of I am.
But, what happens to us when our spotlight flickers and goes out? What survives when our light is eclipsed?
Esoterically, it is the starlight and the corona, the light that needs no audience to survive. This is the light of spiritual truth and understanding, the teaching light, we give away when no one is looking. This is the true radiance that does not need an audience to exist, the understandings(true light) that we share with others in those quiet moments of spiritual communion.
Maybe, the dark is a better teacher than the attached free light!
And, maybe, this is the spiritual message of eclipsed fire for all who are humble, and ready to receive it.
Love you all.
